Located in Mount Horeb, WI, the Madison Equine Clinic at the Blue Mounds facility focuses on advanced reproductive therapies and techniques. These extensive services include embryo transfer and freezing, embryo biopsy and genetic testing, semen collection and freezing, and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The facility contains a cutting edge laboratory offering computerized semen analysis, a computerized programmable semen freezer and a long term cryo storage center for the preservation of embryos and sperm.
Madison Equine Clinic has a commercial equine embryo transfer program which includes a herd of onsite recipient mares. A variety of breeding options are available to meet the needs of each client and patient. In addition, the clinic is equipped to board mares, stallions, and foals, and offers onsite supervision and assistance for the mare foaling process. The clinic provides clients with access to extensive turnout, on site riding arenas, and access to lessons and training.
The Madison Equine Clinic at Blue Mounds is the only USDA and EU approved facility for the collection and freezing of both semen and embryos for shipment to the European Union. The opportunity to ship semen and embryos worldwide not only expands the US breeding market, but also amplifies the promotion of US breeding stock throughout Europe. Madison Equine Clinic also offers Contagious Equine Metritis (CEM) testing and operates a USDA approved CEM import quarantine facility. CEM testing is required for all breeding age horses entering the United States prior to arriving at their final destination.
Madison Equine Clinic includes a team of veterinary specialists focused on reproduction, surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, sports medicine, ophthalmology, chiropractic and acupuncture services. Hagyard employs over sixty equine veterinarians with a multitude of specialties in medicine, surgery and advanced imaging capabilities such as MRI and nuclear scintigraphy.
