Minitüb awards its fifths Research Prize for Equine Reproductive Medicine for 1,000 Euro.

In Dehli and Bangalore two seminars were held last month by Minitube GmbH, Tiefenbach Germany in cooperation with Chemtron Analytical Instruments PVT Ltd of Delhi India. The Seminars had as a title “Improvement of Livestock Breeding in South East Asia” and were held in the National Agricultural Centre in Delhi and the Atria Hotel in Bangalore.

Minitüb GmbH and Cryogenetics AS announce a new strategic cooperation based on the products and know-how available in the two companies. Both companies will participate in adapting the existing and well proven Minitüb GmbH product range for use in aquaculture and also initiate the efforts to bring new products to the aquaculture egg producers. Based on joint marketing efforts, Cryogenetics AS will be responsible for sales and customer contact.

The award of the International Congress of Animal Reproduction (ICAR) recognizes an active, research scientist for outstanding basic and applied research in the area of Assisted Reproduction of Animals. The Simmet Prize is awarded every four years at the ICAR meeting and comes with a prize of 50.000 Euro. The Simmet Prize is sponsored by the Simmet Family in honor of Dr. Ludwig Simmet, founder of Minitube.

The leading fair EuroTier 2010 about agricultural animal husbandry with the main focus on bovine and porcine ended on the 19.11.2010. Once again it brought new record figures: more than 140.000 visitors poured into the fair grounds in Hannover between November 16 th to 19 th. John Verstegen, DVM, PhD, MSc, DECAR, an internationally renowned expert in animal reproduction, has joined Minitube International as Executive Vice President of Research and Development to direct its global technology and product development. Verstegen will also continue his role as the Director of the International Small Animal Reproduction Program for Minitube International.
